Aachen, Germany – The Dutta Corp. U.S. Dressage Team currently sits eighth after an FEI Grand Prix high score of 70.606 percent from Kasey Perry-Glass (Wellington, Fla.) riding Heartbeat W.P. on day one at the 2026 FEI Dressage World Championships Aachen hosted in Aachen, Germany, from August 11-15, 2026.

Perry-Glass, a team silver medalist from the 2018 World Championships, concluded opening day in the electric main stadium on Diane Perry’s 2011 KWPN gelding (Charmeur x Olympic Ferro) cared for by Meghan Laffin. They hold the 11th-place position individually.  

Earlier, Meagan Davis (Loxahatchee, Fla.) made her championship debut riding Toronto Lightfoot, a 2013 Oldenburg gelding (Totilas x Onassis) owned by Scott Durkin, and cared for by Inka Kalberlah. They tallied a 67.624 percent to currently sit 25th. 

“After today, I feel good about both riders and their performance,” said Chef d'Equipe Christine Traurig. “Kasey proved to all of us, again, what a wonderful rider she is, and she performed well in the sense that she had a very clean and solid test. I can see that she is aiming to tap into his potential in the special."

“I think Meagan—being a rookie at an event of this magnitude—did a beautiful job,” continued Traurig. “There is so much more to come from that pair; this was the tip of the iceberg for them.”

In the second half of the FEI Grand Prix Team Final and Individual Qualifier, the remaining two U.S. athletes will take to the Aachen stadium:  

Christian Simonson (Ventura, Calif.) and Fleau de Baian, a 2010 KWPN stallion (Broere Jazz x Ulft) owned by Zen Elite Equestrian Center, and cared for by Georgia Morgan 

Ashley Holzer (Wellington, Fla.) and Hawtins San Floriana, a 2012 Hanoverian mare (San Amour I x Florestan I) owned by Dr. Diane Fellows and Ashley Holzer, and cared for by Allie Conti

Competition Information  
The 2026 FEI Dressage World Championships will be a pinnacle of international dressage competition this season and hosted during the first week of the FEI World Championships in Aachen, Germany. Competition is set to begin on Tuesday, August 11, with the first day of FEI Grand Prix team competition starting at 8:00 a.m. GMT+2/2:00 a.m. ET. The second day of FEI Grand Prix competition to determine team medals will begin at 8:00 a.m. GMT+2/2:00 a.m. ET on Wednesday, August 12. Dressage competition will get back underway in the Main Stadium at Aachen on August 14, with the start of the FEI Grand Prix Special for individual medals, starting at 10:50 a.m. GMT+2/4:50 a.m. ET. The final day of competition, the highlight FEI Grand Prix Freestyle, will determine individual medals and is set to begin at 7:00 p.m. GMT+2/1:00 p.m. ET under the lights in the main stadium to conclude dressage competition.
