Competition Management Safe Sport Toolkit
As you prepare for your upcoming competition, be sure to review the checklist and Competition Quality Control System document below to ensure you, your competition, and your participants are in compliance with safeguarding requirements.
• Send a direct communication to all participants within 30 days prior to the start of the competition
• Participants includes volunteers, onsite vendors, competition staff, credentialled media personnel, officials, riders, coaches, trainers, owners, and anyone else engaged by or authorized by the competition to perform or provide services or products.

• Around the venue in high-traffic areas
• USEF Safe Sport Sanction List: Check all participants against the list. If a suspended person is on the competition grounds, they must be removed.
• SafeSport Training: Check all adult members and non-member Participants who have regular contact with or authority over minor athletes are in compliance with the SafeSport Training requirement.
• For concerns that are non-sexual, including physical and emotional misconduct and MAAPP violations, report to USEF by using the USEF Safe Sport Incident Report Form.
• For concerns regarding sexual misconduct, report to the U.S. Center for SafeSport and the authorities if a minor is involved.
