Athlete Eligibility

Basic services are available to eligible athletes per the definition and criteria outlined below:

  • Olympic & Paralympic Discipline Eligibility Criteria – Athletes will be eligible for the USEF Resources based on meeting one or more of the qualifying criteria below:
    • If applicable to the discipline, athletes who are currently named to Developing, Pre-Elite, or Elite Programs
    • If applicable to the discipline, athletes who are currently named to an official Observation List

Athletes who have been selected to the U.S. Team at a targeted competition, including travelling reserve athletes, through Dec. 31 of the year following the date at which they were selected.

Non-Olympic/Paralympic Discipline Eligibility Criteria – Athletes will be eligible for the USEF Resources based on meeting one or more of the qualifying criteria below:

  • If applicable to the discipline, athletes who are currently named to Elite Programs
  • Athletes who have been selected to the U.S. Team at an FEI Championship, including travelling reserve athletes, through Dec. 31 of the year following the date at which they were selected

Athletes who incur a USEF or FEI suspension may become ineligible for resources on the date the suspension goes into effect.

Other athletes may be granted access to the resources on a case-by-case basis following recommendations by discipline team staff and approved by the Director of FEI Sport.
