Eventing Sport Committee
There shall be appointed separate sport committees for each of the FEI-recognized Olympic and Paralympic Disciplines, except that the Board may combine an able-bodied and para discipline committee into one. Each of these sport committees shall: • recommend criteria for pathway programs and provide feedback on biannual pathway program reports made by the Discipline team staff and applicable volunteers; • review and recommend the discipline budget for consideration by the International Disciplines Council; • provide feedback on candidates under consideration for appointment as consultant personnel, including past performance, to support the implementation of the discipline programs, as well as those who would support teams and individuals selected to represent the USA in international competitions; • assist staff with the development of the criteria and selection procedures for athletes competing in international competitions; • recommend individuals with subject matter expertise to serve as selectors for international competitions, when selection procedures contemplate reliance on selectors; • develop policies and procedures for the calendar in collaboration with staff, and recommend FEI Calendar for approval; • propose, recommend, and review rule amendments as warranted to ensure the growth, safety, and fairness of the discipline; • collaborate with the Recognized Affiliate for the betterment and growth of the discipline; and • assist the Federation with any other matters requested by the Federation President or Chief Executive Officer.
