Mia Farley began her riding career on the West Coast, primarily competing in hunter/jumpers and began her FEI eventing career in 2015 with her own, Fernhill Fine Diamond and earned Team Bronze at the 2016 North American Youth Championships at the CCI1* level. After her getting her start in eventing, Mia made the move to the East Coast to train under David and Karen O'Connor. While with the O’Connor’s, Mia developed a strong foundation in producing young horses and bringing them up to the top level of the sport of eventing and has since had the opportunity to compete overseas and compete up to the CCI5* level. In 2022, Mia was introduced to Invictus, a 2016 Holsteiner Throughbred owned by Karen O’Connor. The pair climbed from the CCI2* level to the CCI4* in four years’ time and were named to the 2025 USEF Eventing European Development Tour where they earned team silver at Bicton CCIO4*-NC-S. In 2026, the pair earned three back-to-back podium finishes at the CCI4* level, most recently taking home the win at the Tryon International Three Day Event in the CCI4*-L May of 2026. Beyond being competitive internationally and wanting to represent the USA at championships, it is important to her to keep developing horses with empathy to get the best out of all the horses that come through her program.
