Although a Maine native, Hallie Coon currently splits her time between the U.S. and England. What started as a summer abroad after being one of the 2018 recipients of the Karen Stives Endowment Fund Grant awarded by the USET Foundation has turned into a long-term residency. During Coon’s first year in England, she was named to her first FEI Nations Cup Team at Houghton Hall with her own and Helen Coon’s Celien, a 2007 KWPN mare in Norfolk, England and helped secure team silver. Later that same year, Coon and Celien represented the United States for a second time when the pair was named to the Millstreet Nations Cup team where the combination contributed to a top 5 team finish. Kapriccio, a 2015 bay KWPN gelding, was a new addition to Coon’s upper-level string in 2025. In their first year of competition as a pair, Coon and Kapriccio placed in the top 10 at the Aston Le Walls CCI3*-S in Great Britain and the top 20 at both the Boekelo CCIO4*-NC-L as a individuals and he Charlbury CCI3*-S.
