Christine Traurig is the current Chef d'Equipe of the U.S. Dressage Team, as well as Technical Advisor and Development Coach for the program. Christine has been a part of the U.S. Dressage Pathway programs for more than a decade. 

Aside from coaching, Christine had a successful career as an athlete, representing the U.S. at the 2000 Olympic Games aboard Etienne, where they helped the team earn bronze. 

Traurig was named Chef d'Equipe in late 2023 and helped the U.S. Dressage Team earn team gold at the 2023 Pan American Games in her championship debut with the team. Traurig will lead her first Olympic team at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games as Chef d'Equipe.

Katherine Bateson Chandler was a member of the U.S. team for the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games in Lexington, Kentucky, riding Jane Clark’s KWPN gelding, Nartan. She went on to represent the U.S. team at the FEI Nations Cup CDIO3* at Hickstead (GBR) in 2014 riding Welnetta, a 2003 Dutch mare also owned by Clark.

Bateson Chandler had a long and successful partnership with Clark’s 2005 Dutch gelding, Alcazar, who she rode at the FEI levels beginning in 2013 through 2023. The pair represented the U.S. at FEI Nations Cup competitions including the as part of the second-place team at CHIO Aachen (GER) in 2016, bronze medal-winning teams at Hickstead in 2017, Compiègne (FRA) in 2019, and Aachen in 2019. In 2020 and 2021, they helped the U.S. to the podium on home turf, winning first and second, respectively, in the FEI Nations Cups in Wellington, Fla.

With her own and Jennifer Huber’s 2012 KWPN mare, Haute Couture, Bateson Chandler has had top results at the CDI3* and CDI4* level at home and abroad, including wins at WEC Ocala in 2023, a second-place finish at Hartpury (GBR) in 2023, and at the Adequan® Global Dressage Festival in Wellington, Fla., in 2024.

Ashley Holzer spent nearly four decades as a staple of the Canadian dressage team, highlighted by four Olympic appearances. At Seoul 1988, she was a part of the bronze winning Canadian team. She also competed in Athens 2004, Beijing 2008, and London 2012. Holzer also made three FEI World Equestrian Games appearances under the Canadian flag at Jerez de la Frontera 2002, Aachen 2006, and Lexington 2010. 

Holzer officially became a U.S. citizen in 2016 and declared as a U.S. athlete in 2017. In 2022, Holzer and Valentine were part of the silver medal winning U.S. Dressage Team at the FEI Dressage Nations Cup the Netherlands in Rotterdam, where they also finished third individually and named to the U.S. Dressage Team for the 2022 FEI Dressage World Championships in Herning, Denmark. 

Holzer opened the 2026 season with a victory on Hawtins San Floriana, a 2012 Hanoverian mare (San Amour I x Florestan I) she co-owns with longtime supporter, Diane Fellows. The pair took home the win in the Grand Prix CDI3* at AGDF, the mare’s first Grand Prix victory in two years. Holzer was selected to The Dutta Corp. U.S. Dressage Team for the opening leg of the 2026 FEI Dressage Nations Cup series in Wellington, where she and Hawtins San Floriana helped anchor the team to a historic win – U.S. Dressage’s first Nations Cup victory on home soil in five years – finishing ahead of Germany and Canada. The pair earned a spot on the short list for the U.S. Dressage Team for the 2026 FEI Dressage World Championship and have continued to achieve top results at home and internationally, most notably a second-place finish in the Hartpury CDI3* with a score of 72.574%.  

She and her husband, Rusty, have two children, Harrison and Emma, who are both film actors.

Kevin Kohmann grew up around horses in Germany and demonstrated talent at young age, winning a pony regional championship in 2002. Kohmann was recruited to the U.S. as a top young professional to work under several trainers. He developed difficult horses into willing mounts, his own skills to the Grand Prix Level, and his teaching skills, bringing along a successful string of students. Kohmann joined Diamante Farms in 2014 as a rider and trainer.

Kohmann took over the ride on Duenensee in 2023, and the pair quickly found success. They finished fourth in the CDI3* Grand Prix and third in the CDI3* Grand Prix Special during week 11 of the Adequan^® Global Dressage Festival (AGDF). Kohmann and Duenensee were then second in the CDI3* Grand Prix and CDI3* Freestyle at the World Equestrian Center (WEC) - Ocala May Dressage Show. The pair headed to Europe for the summer and represented The Dutta Corp. U.S. Dressage Team at the FEI Dressage Nations Cup™ Netherlands CDIO4*. Kohmann and Duenensee were named the first reserve combination for the U.S. Dressage Team for the Santiago 2023 Pan American Games for their solid results. They closed out the year with CDI-W wins at TerraNova and WEC - Ocala. 

In 2024, Kohmann and Duenensee finished no worse than fifth during the AGDF, sweeping the CDI-W classes during week 8. They were members of The Dutta Corp. U.S. Dressage Team at the FEI Dressage Nations Cup™ USA CDIO3*, earning team silver and individual gold in the Grand Prix Special.
