Aachen, Germany – The 2026 FEI Vaulting World Championship, hosted in Aachen, Germany, from August 11-16, 2026, concluded on Sunday with final bids for the U.S. Vaulting Team’s Pas de Deux and Team athletes.
The Team, comprised of World no. 2 Kimberly Palmer (Half Moon Bay, Calif.) and Daniel Janes (Standwood, Wa.) were joined by The Pacific Coast
Squad—Francesca Foster (Las Vegas, Nev.); Clea Limbrey (Redwood City, Calif.); Nina Limbrey (Redwood City, Calif.); Emma Milito (Brighton, Colo.); Maria McLean (Santa Cruz, Calif.); and Evalyn Rotter (Redwood City, Calif.)—to clinch sixth on a combined score of 8.343.
“This 2026 World Championship in Aachen has been a tremendous experience,” reflected U.S. Chef d’Equipe Emma Garrod. “It was nice to be back here [in Aachen] after 20 years. The organizing committee ensured that our field of play was exceptionally beautiful and well suited to our sport. Our horses were awesome and their owners very supportive.
“The quality of vaulting was phenomenal, and it was an honor to be a part of it all,” she continued. “I’m very proud of the U.S. Team—we had some highs and some lows, but in the end, we had a top five and two top 10 finishes.”
Coming off a fourth-place finish in the Freestyle on Saturday, Palmer led the team with her final score tallying 8.654. She was partnered with Rosenstolz 99, a 2007 Rhinelander gelding (Rosencharmeur x Findermark), owned by Claudia Petersohn and Claudia Spadavecchia and lunged by Laura Carnabuci (ITA). Janes once again joined Caretes Auhoern, a 2009 Holsteiner gelding (Caretino 2 x Colman) owned by IPG Wettenberg e.V. and Jana LEIB and lunged by Jana Leib (GER), to post 8.263 for the team effort.
The Pacific Coast Squad ended the day on 8.113 Eldoctro, a 2009 KWPN gelding (VDL Indoctro x LBH Calvados), lunged by Carolyn Bland (GBR) to seed the team on its final average (8.343) in sixth.
Earlier in the final day of competition, father-daughter duo Gracie Griffiths (Elk Ridge, Utah) and Todd Griffiths (Elk Ridge, Utah) finished eighth overall on a final score of 7.508 with Gozer, a 2011 gelding owned by RVV Equus e.V.
