Fort Worth, Texas – Kent Farrington and Greya wowed the crowd in Dickies Arena tonight in the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup Final Round II showcasing their incredible form and consistency, adding another podium-topping performance to their resume as a combination. The pair bested a seven-horse jump off, crossing through the timers as the last combination to go in the second round and stopping the clock in 34.36 seconds. Eiken Sato (JPN) and Chadellano JRA took second place, while Kevin Staut (FRA) and Visconti du Telman took third overall.

With the win tonight, Farrington (Wellington, Fla.) added another 36 points to his total accumulation, leaving him on zero penalties with a rail in hand over Steve Guerdat (SUI) going into Sunday’s two-round final. Aboard the incredible Greya, a 2014 Oldenburg (Colestus x Contender) mare cared for by Denise Moriarty, Farrington again showcased why she stands out as one of the top horses in the world.

“I think I came with a faster horse today, which makes it easier,” said Farrington. “I’ve been really thinking about Sunday and wanted to measure her efforts and measure her speed to put myself in the best position possible. Hopefully we have some luck for the Final here on Sunday.”

The pair impressed with their renowned first-round prowess with Farrington noting he had full confidence in Greya's ability to come into a new atmosphere tonight and adjust to the task at hand.

“She’s jumped indoors before, so she has some experience. She’s 12 years old now, so when you look at coming from outside to inside, it’s not the easiest, but they both are exceptional horses, and when you have great athletes like this with experience, you’re able to do things like that. The venue will matter less with age because they’ll really know the sport and the game,” added Farrington.

Katie Dinan (New York, N.Y.) and Out of the Blue SCF, a 2014 Belgian Warmblood mare (Verdi TN x San Patrignano Cassini) owned by Grant Road Partners LLC, and cared for by Lou Boudin and Pepper Pritchard, were the second U.S. combination to qualify for the jump-off after a solid first round effort, finishing seventh overall.

The U.S. has five combinations currently sitting inside of the top ten, with Dinan and Out of the Blue SCF tied for eighth with Jacob Pope (Owings Mills, Md.) and Highway FBH, ahead of Aaron Vale (Williston, Fla.) and Carissimo 25, who are tied for tenth with Lillie Keenan (New York, N.Y.) and Kick On.
