Manes for Movement provides both equine-assisted therapies and recreational equine activities to children and adults with a variety of developmental, genetic, and neuromuscular diagnoses, including but not limited to autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, ADHD, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, and a variety of genetic syndromes. Manes for Movement also serves individuals from a variety of socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds in the South Bay of Los Angeles Community. Since its founding, Manes for Movement has provided thousands of hours of direct client services.
The goal at Manes for Movement is to grow their existing services so anyone can have access to the benefits of life-changing equine-assisted programming. Even more importantly, they hope to grow so that everyone in the South Bay area, and beyond, can be included in the equestrian community regardless of their disability status.
Manes for Movement is located in a quiet, residential neighborhood. The facility is so peaceful, you almost forget you are located in one the largest cities in the U.S. With land limited in such a populous state, the importance and value of equestrian programs like Manes for Movement cannot be overstated. Countless lives have been transformed, and the future remains bright for all involved with Manes for Movement. Learn more about Community Outreach Organizations and the USEF Opportunity Fund here.
