In 2018, Hallie Coon expanded her training by working with Richard Waygood and Olivia Oakley, supported by the Karen Stives Endowment Fund Grant from the United States Equestrian Team (USET). In 2019, she was named to the USEF Developing Potential Training List, marking her first inclusion on a high-performance roster. In 2024, Coon competed as a member of the Defender U.S. Eventing Team at the FEI Eventing Nations Cup in the Netherlands, where the team finished in second place. Coon and her horse, Cute Girl, achieved notable success, securing third place individually—marking one of the highest placements for a U.S. combination in nearly a decade. Coon participated in various competitions during her time overseas, including five starts and two top five finishes at the Le Lion d’Angers Young Horses World Championship.

Kapriccio, a 2015 bay KWPN gelding owned by Hallie and Helen Coon, was a new addition to Coon’s upper-level string in 2025. In their first year of competition as a pair, Coon and Kapriccio placed in the top 10 at the Aston Le Walls CCI3*-S in Great Britain and the top 20 at both the Boekelo CCIO4*-NC-L as individuals and the Charlbury CCI3*-S. Early on in their 2026 season, Coon and Kapriccio took home the win the North Holland Horse Trials CCI4*-S followed by a top 10 finish at Royal Jump Horse Trials in the CCI4*-S and most recently, a top 5 finish at the Longines Luhmuhlen CCI5*-L in June.
