Boyd Martin, the son of Olympic speed skater Toy Dorgan Martin and Olympic cross-country skier Ross Martin, began riding at a young age in his native country of Australia. He has been named to the Elite Program in 2020, 2021, 2024, He made his CCI5*-L debut at the 2003 Australian International Three-Day Event (now known as Adelaide Equestrian Festival). He moved to the U.S. in 2007 to further his career as an Eventing professional and served as the assistant trainer to Olympian Phillip Dutton for two years. In 2009, Martin began riding for the U.S. and by 2012 was named to his first Olympic list and would later go on to being a four-time Olympian, four-time U.S. Eventing Team member for the FEI Eventing World Championships, and two-time medal winning team member for the Pan American Games. Fedarman B (Bruno) has become one of the top-performing mounts in Martin’s string of international horses. Fedarman B was sourced, purchased and started by the late Annie Goodwin who Martin continues to represent in each competition aboard the 2019 KWPN gelding. The Annie Goodwin Syndicate’s Fedarman B’s FEI record with Martin has been strong and consistent, with finishing twice inside the top ten at the CCI5*-L level with completions at Luhmühlen in 2023 and Pau in 2023 and 2024. In 2025, the pair finished sixth in the CCI5*-L at the Kentucky Three Day Event, adding to their international top 10 finishes as a combination.
