Phillip Dutton began riding horses on his family farm while growing up in Australia. He moved to the U.S. in 1991 to prepare for the Atlanta 1996 Olympic Games and continued representing his native country until 2006, when he became a U.S. citizen. Dutton has been a mainstay on U.S. teams ever since. Dutton has competed in nearly every Olympic Games in eventing since 1996, winning team gold with Australia in Atlanta 1996 and Sydney 2000, and represented the U.S. Eventing Team in 2008, 2012, 2016, and 2020. He won individual bronze with Mighty Nice at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. He has competed in seven FEI World Equestrian Games, representing the U.S. for the first time in 2006. He won team gold and individual silver at the 2007 Pan American Games with Truluck and team gold at the 2015 Pan American Games with Fernhill Fugitive.  

Dutton has been the top-finishing American at the Kentucky Three-Day Event several times, winning the USET Foundation Pinnacle Cup in 2017 with Mr. Medicott, 2015 with Fernhill Cubalawn, 2010 with Woodburn, and 2007 and 2008 with Connaught. In 2008, he was also the overall winner of the event. Dutton and Z were fourth at the 2022 Maryland 5 Star and fifth at the 2023 Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event presented by MARS Equestrian™ CCI5*-L. 

Dutton has continued to campaign with a top string of CCI4* and CCI5* mounts. Strong top five finishes for both Possante and Denim in the 2025 Lexington CCI4*-S in April helped build momentum for Dutton moving into the summer season. A highlight moment of the summer was a podium with the Defender U.S. Eventing Team at 2025 CHIO Aachen, where Dutton and Possante helped the team secure their third consecutive silver medal in the CCIO4*-NC-S competition, and where they finished in 11th individually, just ahead of barn mate Denim, who took 14th overall. Dutton continued to carry that form through the remainder of the 2025 season, finishing as the overall runner-up in the US Equestrian Open Eventing Series standings, and capped the year with a sixth-place finish aboard Denim at the inaugural US Equestrian Open Eventing Final CCI4*-L at Morven Park International Equestrian Center in October 2025.  

In 2026, Dutton continues to produce results with a talented string of horses, which has included numerous top ten finishes in international competition, including a top ten finish at the Defender Kentucky Three-Day Event with Possante, where they took eighth overall. Dutton and Denim captured the win in the CCI4*-S at Bromont in June, where they finished on their dressage score of 29.3.  

Dutton resides in Pennsylvania with his wife Evie, twin daughters, Mary and Olivia, and stepdaughter Lee Lee. 

Marilyn Little grew up riding at her family’s Raylyn Farms and began competing at the age of six. She found early success in the hunter/jumper discipline, competing in her first grand prix at just 16 years old. While she built a strong foundation in show jumping, Little expanded her career into eventing in 2010, completing her first CCI4* in 2012 and earning international recognition for her results at the highest levels of the sport. Her eventing accomplishments include multiple top finishes at major four- and five-star events, as well as a team gold medal at the 2015 Pan American Games.

In recent years, Little has re-established herself as a top competitor in international jumping. She was a member of the winning U.S. Jumping Team at the 2025 FEI Jumping Nations Cup Caledon CSIO3*, where she delivered two fault-free rounds aboard La Contessa. That same weekend, she and La Contessa claimed victory in the $90,000 Grand Prix of Caledon CSIO3*.

In 2025, Little and La Contessa earned a second-place finish in the Cabana Coast $62,500 FEI CSI5* and third place in the Major League Show Jumping Grand Prix of Toronto CSI5*. That same year, she also posted standout results at Old Salem Farm, including a second-place finish in the Old Salem Blue Diamond Cup CSI4* and a victory in the Old Salem Farm Welcome CSI4*.

Continuing their strong form into 2026, Little and La Contessa opened the Winter Equestrian Festival season with a podium finish in the CSI3* Grand Prix during Week 1. The pair were selected to represent the U.S. Jumping Team in the Wellington CSIO4* where they helped the team top the podium with a double clear effort. The pair followed their stellar performance with a podium finish in the Week 9 CSI5* Grand Prix at WEF, one of their top finishes as a combination to date. They followed up with another second place finish in the MLSJ $750,000 Grand Prix CSI5* in Monterrey, Mexico. 

The pair were selected to the 2026 U.S. Jumping Team Short List for the FEI Jumping World Championships, and produced top results for the team at both the Rome CSIO5*, where they finished fourth in the Grand Prix, and then went on to help secure a a podium finish for the US Team in the LLN Nations Cup at CSIO Rotterdam. She was the anchor rider and delivered a double clear which forced a jump off where Little and La Contessa delivered another clear and speedy round to secure an exciting 2nd place. 

Boyd Martin, the son of Olympic speed skater Toy (Dorgan) Martin and Olympic cross-country skier Ross Martin, began riding at a young age in his native country of Australia. He made his debut at the CCI5*-L with a win at the 2003 Australian International Three-Day Event riding the Thoroughbred gelding True Blue Toozac.

He moved to the U.S. in 2007 to further his career as an eventing professional, serving as the assistant trainer to Olympian Phillip Dutton for two years before starting his own business. Martin began riding for the U.S. in 2009.

Martin is a three-time Olympian, having represented the U.S. in London 2012, Rio de Janeiro 2016, and Tokyo 2020. He is a four-time U.S. Eventing Team member for the FEI Eventing World Championship, including as a part of the silver medal-winning team in 2022 in Pratoni, Italy. With Pancho Villa, he was a member of the U.S. team that won gold at the 2015 Pan American Games, and in 2019, he won team and individual gold at the Pan American Games with Christine, Thomas, and Tommie Turner's Tsetserleg TSF.

Twice, Martin has been the USEF CCI5*-L Eventing National Champion at the Kentucky Three-Day Event. First in 2019 with Tsetserleg TSF and again in 2021 with Christine, Thomas, Tommie, and his own, On Cue. In October 2021, he won the inaugural Maryland 5 Star with On Cue, becoming the first American to win a CCI5* since 2008.

In 2023, Martin piloted his string to several significant top finishes at the CCI5*-L with five top-ten finishes at events around the world, including two top-ten finishes for Fedarman B at both Luhmuhlen and Pau. Martin brought both Fedarman B and Commando 3 forward as potential Olympic selections at the start of the 2024 season. A strong showing of both at the CCI4*-S at the 2024 Kentucky Three-Day Event did not make selection easy, but Martin ultimately chose Fedarman B as his mount of the 2024 Olympic Games, with Commando 3 as a direct reserve. Paris 2024 will be Martin's fourth consecutive Olympic appearance for the U.S. Olympic Eventing Team. 

Martin and Fedarman B were successful in Paris, adding just 1.6 to their initial dressage score of 30.5. The duo were one of only seven combinations to jump clear in both rounds on the final day, finishing tenth individually and contributing to the team's sixth place. 

In 2025, Martin helped the Defender U.S. Eventing team secure a second-place finish for the third consecutive year at the CHIO Aachen CCI4*-S and later that fall, earned the first ever title as winner of the Inaugural US Equestrian Open of Eventing Final held at Morven Park. Martin also placed on the podium at every CCI5*-L entered in 2025 and subsequently was named the 2025 World Equestrian Brands USEA Rider of the Year. 

The 2026 season started strong for Martin with a podium finish aboard Commando 3, owned by Yankee Creek Ranch, at the Bouckaert CCI4*-S. Martin then claimed a second and third-place finish on Miks Master C, owned by OHP Hammertime Partners, and Shanroe Cooley, owned by Dallas LLC, at the Fair Hill International CCI4*-S the following month. In April 2026, Martin had two strong finishes with Commando 3 and Cooley Nutcracker at the Defender Kentucky Three Day Event CCI5*-L, earning sixth place with Commando 3, and finishing just outside of the top ten with Cooley Nutcracker, owned by Liz’s Nutcrackers.  The following month, Martin and Shanroe Cooley took home third in the Tryon International CCI4*-S before making their first 5* appearance at the Longines Luhmühlen Horse Trials in June coming home with yet another podium finish, earning third place overall.  

Martin and his wife, professional dressage trainer and athlete, Silva Martin, own and operate Windurra USA in Pennsylvania.

Lauren Nicholson (née Kieffer) began riding at the age of 6 and competed in her first horse trials at the age of 12. As a high school graduation present, Kieffer participated in a week-long eventing summer camp with Olympians David and Karen O’Connor, which led to a six-year working student position. Her talent and work ethic helped her reach the top levels of the sport and eventually representing the U.S. in multiple international championships.

Nicholson won team bronze in 2005 and team silver in 2007 at the North American Youth Championship (NAYC) with her own Anglo-Arabian gelding, Snooze Alarm. She made her debut at the CCI5*-L level in 2010, when she and Snooze Alarm completed the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event. Nicholson continued to have success at the level with Team Rebecca’s Veronica, placing second overall at the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event in 2014 and 2016 to win the USEF CCI5*-L National Championship. The pair also had top ten finishes at CCI5*-L competitions at Les Etoiles de Pau (FRA) in 2014, and the MARS Badminton (GBR) in 2018.

Nicholson acquired Snooze Alarm’s full-brother, Vermiculus, as an unbroke young horse and started his career at the beginner novice level in 2012. She brought him up the levels to his first CCI5*-L completion in 2018 at the Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event, where they placed fifth. Since then, they’ve had top ten finishes at the CCI5*-L level in 2019 at Defender Kentucky Three Day Event and Defender Burghley Horse Trials (GBR). In 2022 the pair had a top ten finish at Longines Luhmühlen (GER) and were part of the silver-medal-winning team at the 2022 FEI Eventing World Championship held at Pratoni del Vivaro in Rome, Italy. In 2024 at the Defender Kentucky Three Day Event, Nicholson and Jacqueline Mars’ Vermiculus were the highest placed US combination, finished in the top 5 and were named the USEF CCI5*-L Eventing National Champions.

Lynn Symansky began riding at the age of three and competing at the age of five. She grew up as a member of the United States Pony Clubs and earned her A certification. Symansky was competing at the Advance level by the age of 18, and has continued at the top levels of eventing. In 2018, Symansky and her seasoned off-the-track Thoroughbred Donner finished sixth in the Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event CCI4*. Symansky also placed second in the MARS Inc. Bromont Three- Day Event CCI3* with Under Suspection and third in the Jersey Fresh International CCI3* with RF Cool Play. Symansky is married to her husband Eric Reed.
