The Defender U.S. Driving Team finished in tenth place at the 2024 FEI Driving World Championships for Single Horses. Taylor Bradish and Katydid Duchess finished as the highest placed combination, earning sixth place overall.
The U.S. contingent delivered excellent performances at the 2023 FEI Para Driving World Championship for Singles held in Exloo, Netherlands, from August 23-27. Tracy Bowman and Albrecht’s Hoeve’s Lars lead from start to finish to defend their world champion title. Led by Chef d’Equipe Jennifer Matheson, the U.S. Para Driving Team of Bowman and Albrecht’s Hoeve’s Lars, Bob Giles and Brynithon Flyers Magic, and Diane Kastama and Tjibbe took home the team silver medal.
The Land Rover U.S. Driving Team finished the horse inspection and is set for the start of the 2022 FEI Driving World Championship for Single Horses hosted in Le Pin-au-Haras, France, from September 15-18, 2022. The U.S. contingent is led by Chef d’Equipe Dee Aldrich, Team Coach Suzy Stafford, and Team Leader Danielle Aamodt with Team Veterinarian Dr. Jon Furlong. The combinations have been busy with final preparations and are ready to compete on the world stage.
The Land Rover U.S. Driving Team is set for the start of the 2021 FEI Driving World Championship for Pairs, running from September 8-12 in Kronenberg, the Netherlands. Chef d’Equipe Marcie Quist guides the U.S contingent at the prestigious event.
Since WEG began in 1990, the Land Rover U.S. Driving Team has seen sustained success on the world stage. The U.S. team of James Fairclough, Tucker Johnson, and Chester Weber won team silver in 2002 (Jerez de la Frontera, Spain). The same U.S. team members won team silver in 2010 (Lexington, Kentucky), and Johnson claimed individual bronze. In 2018, the Land Rover U. S. Driving Team earned a team gold medal at the World Equestrian Games in Tryon, NC.
The U.S. Driving Team had a strong showing at the FEI Driving World Championships for Pairs in Drebkau, Germany, on September 11-15, finishing eighth in a field of 16 nations.
The U.S. contingent arrives at the FEI World Driving and Para-Driving Championships for Singles with a strong, seasoned group prepared for high-caliber international competition. Taking place in Kronenberg, The Netherlands, Chef d’Equipe Heather Briggs and Coach Thorsten Zarembowicz will guide the U.S. team of Jacob Arnold, Donna Crookston, and Jennifer “Nifty” Hamilton in pursuit of a respectable team finish. They will be joined by Vernon Helmuth, who will compete as an individual.
