Loved and ridden by Geñay Vaughn, Gino, a 2011 KWPN gelding (Bretton Woods x Haarlem) owned by Michele Vaughn, made a name for himself from the very start. Their partnership began when he was only six years old, with Vaughn developing Gino through the levels herself.  

The pair’s competitive partnership began at the 2022 Adequan Global Dressage Festival in Wellington, Fla., where they earned top finishes in CDI1* competition before working on their move up to Grand Prix.  

Over the years, the pair have collected many victories including winning both the Grand Prix and Grand Prix Freestyle at the FEI Dressage World Cup CDI-W competitions in Myakka City, Fla., Thermal, Calif., and Del Mar, Calif.  

In 2025, Gino helped Vaughn qualify for her first FEI Dressage World Cup Finals, finishing 14th in their first individual final appearance as a combination.  

In 2026, Gino and Vaughn secured back-to-back victories at the CDI-W Del Mar, earning a personal best score of 75.955% in the Grand Prix Freestyle to Music.  The pair were most recently selected to represent the U.S. Dressage Team at the FEI Dressage Nations Cup Hagen CDIO4*, where they helped anchor the team and secure a bronze medal in a tightly contested international competition.
