Denim, owned by Ann Jones, Ann Lapids, Caroline Moran, and Neill Sites, began his international career with Dutch athlete Merel Blom-Hulsman before being added to Phillip Dutton’s impressive string in 2022. Denim and Dutton made their debut with a podium finish at the MARS Bromont CCI2*-L in Canada. The duo were the top U.S. finishers in the CH-M-YH-CCI3*-L division for seven-year-olds at the 2022 FEI WBFSH Eventing World Breeding Championships for Young Horses.  

The duo’s strong performances in 2022 led to their presence on the U.S. Eventing Team at the 2023 FEI Eventing Nations Cup Netherlands CCIO4*-NC-L, where they helped the team to a fourth-place finish. In 2024, Denim and Dutton secured a top five finish at both the Tryon International Horse Trials CCI4*-L and MARS Maryland International CCI3*-S.

More recently, Dutton and Denim have produced strong results at the CCI4*-S and L levels, including a win at the Bromont CCI4*-S in June. Since 2025, the pair have only finished outside of the top ten on three occasions, and have notched five finishes inside of the top five in FEI competition over the past two years.
