Erik Duvander

Erik Duvander joined US Equestrian in October 2017 with over 30 years of strategic planning and program development at the high-performance level. He transitioned from a competitive rider into a coaching role after representing Sweden at the World Championship and Olympic level. Since his transition, Duvander has coached teams and individual athletes to World Championship and Olympic medals. He has worked with the Japanese, Swedish, and New Zealand Equestrian Teams, including leading the New Zealand team to a fourth-place finish at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro and a team bronze medal at the 2010 Alltech WEG. He is married to his wife Stephanie, and they have three children.

Jenni Autry

Jenni Autry grew up in southern California competing in hunter/jumpers and later discovered eventing as a member of the United States Pony Club. After graduating with a degree in Journalism, she worked as an award-winning journalist in both newspapers and magazines before becoming the Managing Editor of Eventing Nation in 2013. She traveled extensively covering the U.S. Eventing Team around the globe. Autry was named Managing Director of Eventing for US Equestrian in 2019. Her role as team leader includes managing all logistics around the selection process and preparation for the Olympic Games, as well as coordinating the day-to-day plans for the U.S. Eventing Team while at the Olympics.

Phillip Dutton

Phillip Dutton is a native of Australia who relocated to the U.S. in 1991 and became an American citizen in 2006. He is a six-time Olympian, winning team gold for his native Australia in 1996 and 2000 and individual bronze for the U.S. in 2016. He was a member of the gold-medal-winning U.S. Eventing Teams at the Pan American Games in 2007 and 2015 and won individual silver in 2007. With Connaught, he was the winner of the 2008 Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event.

Z has been a top mount for Phillip Dutton since he joined Dutton’s string in 2015. The duo earned reserve champion honors in the 2018 Land Rover/USEF CCI5*-L Eventing National Championship, 2020 Buckeye Nutrition USEF CCI4*-L Eventing National Championship, and 2015 The Dutta Corp./USEF CCI3*-L Eventing National Championship. Dutton and Z were members of the Land Rover U.S. Eventing Team for the FEI World Equestrian Games™ Tryon 2018 and were the highest-placed U.S. combination, finishing 13th individually.

Boyd Martin is a two-time Olympian, three-time FEI World Equestrian Games competitor, and a two-time Pan American Games team gold medalist in eventing. A native of Australia, Martin has competed for the U.S. since 2009. He has won the USEF CCI5*-L Eventing National Championship at the Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event twice, in 2019 with Tsetserleg TSF and in 2021 with On Cue. He was the 2019 USEA American Eventing Championship $60,000 Advanced Final champion with Long Island T and the USEF CCI4*-L National Champion with Tsetserleg TSF in 2020.

Doug Payne is a well-known international competitor, trainer, judge, coach, and author. He won the team gold medal at the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, Peru, and finished fourth individually with Starr Witness.

Payne and Vandiver were the 2019 USEF CCI5*-L Eventing Reserve National Champions at the Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event presented by MARS Equestrian™, as well as the winners of The Fork CCI4*-S in 2021.

Tamra “Tamie” Smith was a member of the gold-medal-winning U.S. Eventing Team that won gold at the 2019 Pan American Games riding Mai Baum. With Elliot-V, she was the 2020 USEF CCI3*-L Eventing National Champion. In 2021, she took Mai Baum to his CCI5*-L debut at the Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event where the pair finished in the top ten.

Mai Baum and Tamra “Tamie” Smith quickly formed a partnership in 2015 and tallied five international wins that year, including The Dutta Corp./USEF CCI4*-L Eventing National Championship title at The Dutta Corp. Fair Hill International. The duo helped earn the team gold medal at the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, Peru. In 2021, Smith and Mai Baum earned to a top-10 finish in the horse’s CCI5*-L debut at the 2021 Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event presented by MARS Equestrian™.
