El Corona Texel started his career in Europe as a top dressage prospect before being purchased as an international mount by Rowan O'Riley for Paralympian Rebecca Hart. “Tex” has been competing internationally with Hart since 2017 when they debut at Tryon Fall Dressage 2, winning the CPEDI3* Para Individual Grade III and Para Team Grade III tests. In January 2018, they swept the Grade III division at the Wellington CPEDI3* in Florida.

Tex and Hart had their first championship experience together at the FEI World Equestrian Games Tryon 2018, where they won bronze medals in the Grade III Individual Team Tests and a silver medal in the Grade III Freestyle. In 2021, they were named to the Adequan® U.S. Para Dressage Team for the Tokyo Paralympics, where they helped the team win bronze—a first-ever Paralympic medal for a U.S. equestrian team.

In 2022, Tex and Hart were selected to represent the U.S. at the CPEDI3* in Doha, Qatar, where the team won silver. They proceeded to the CPEDI3* at Randbøl, Denmark, where they placed second in the Grade III Freestyle and third in the Grade III Team Test. In June of 2022, the pair competed at the Tryon Summer Dressage CPEDI3* where they won the Grade III Individual and Grade III Freestyle Tests.
