Jill Humphrey was first introduced to horses at the age of 7 while attending a birthday party with pony rides. Next, she began taking riding lessons and never looked back. Humphrey earned three World Champion Hunter Rider Championship titles, a Capitol Challenge Horse Show Champion title, and qualification for all of the major medal finals. She graduated from the University of California, Davis in 2004 with a B.S. in Communications and continued her riding career as a professional.

In 2007, Humphrey and Kaskaya competed in the FEI Jumping World Cup™ Final in Las Vegas. In 2011, Humphrey joined a prestigious group of USHJA $500,000+ prize money winners.

Humphrey continued to earn a steady list of results with her string of horses over the years as well as guiding her students to top results at some of the country’s top horse shows.

In 2023, Humphrey won the $78,000 Premier Air Welcome CSI4*-W with Chromatic BF at the Sacramento International Horse Show. The pair was third in the $39,000 Las Vegas National "All In" Speed Classic CSI4*-W and the $226,000 Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Las Vegas at the Las Vegas National Horse Show. Humphrey and Chromatic BF closed out the year with another third-place finish in the $250,000 Longines FEI Jumping World Cup Fort Worth presented by Lugano Diamonds at the Fort Worth International.
