Alex Shampoe is a young rider endurance athlete with an impressive resume. She won the Brunjes Junior/Young Rider Trophy in 2018. Shampoe was a member of the U.S. Endurance Team at the 2019 FEI Endurance World Championship for Young Riders & Juniors in San Rossore, Pisa, Italy, with Dude Free Gold and at the 2021 FEI Endurance World Championship for Young Riders & Juniors in Ermelo, Netherlands, with Promissin Gold. At the 2021 World Championship, Shampoe finished 14th individually and helped the U.S. to a fifth-place team finish. 

Shampoe claimed two wins in 2020: the Broxton Bridge CEIYJ1* 100 km ride with TA Kwik Dance and the Greenway Gallivant CEIYJ2* 120 km ride with Promissin Gold. She collected four wins in the first half of 2021: the Broxton Bridge January CEIYJ2* 120 km ride with Fine Cut Gold, the FITS CEIYJ2* 120 km ride with Fine Cut Gold, the FITS CEIYJ1* 100 km ride with Touch Gold, and the Broxton Bridge May CEIYJ2* 120 km ride with Fine Cut Gold. In 2022, Shampoe collected second in the Broxton Bridge Fall CEIYJ1* 100 km ride with Summer Gold and sixth in the Punta del Este CEIYJ2* 120 km ride with LQ Imperio in Uruguay. In 2023, she won the Scenic Spruce Creek Spring Fling CEIYJ1* 100 km ride with Summerr Gold and was second in the Broxton Bridge January CEIYJ2* 120 km ride with Fine Cut Gold and in the McCulley Farms CEIYJ2* 120 km ride with Southern Justice.
