The American Saddlebred Registry has taken a significant step to streamline its registration process, effective immediately, announced Petra Green, Senior Registry Supervisor. A time-consuming and duplicative step in the process has been eliminated. The Paso Fino Horse Association (PFHA) is offering to its members, for a period of 45 days, a reduced registration fee for horses over 720 days of age. The American Saddlebred Horse Association (ASHA) is asking breeders to assist in its ongoing research to find the genetic cause of lordosis. ASHA has been funding this research since 2003. Dr. Patrick Gallagher, of PCG Equine Research, was selected by the Association's board of directors to perform the research.
