Lexington, KY – The United States Dressage Team and the United States Equestrian Federation received an unexpected decision on September 22, 2008 when the FEI Tribunal handed down its ruling regarding the positive medication test of Mythilus, Courtney King-Dye’s Dressage horse, from the 2008 Olympic Games in Hong Kong. Hong Kong, China - Eventing rider Amy Tryon has been in the Prince of Wales Hospital in Hong Kong recovering from cellulitis in her leg. The infection occurred after her fall from Poggio II on the cross country course at the 2008 Olympic Games. Tryon was hospitalized on August 13 because of pain and swelling in the prepatellar bursa of her right knee. Her condition has improved dramatically and she is in good spirits. A lifetime horseman and trainer, Carl Knee, passed away at age 76 on July 22, 2008. He trained many outstanding riders and horses, but it was a team effort that gave Knee his greatest joy.
