A slippery, muddy course didn't yeild much to U.S. endurance horses and riders today. 4 of the 5 horses that started in Sartilly were pulled at vet checks along the way, but Jeremy Olson & Wallace Hill Shade were able to complete the course. They are in 32nd place provisionally before tomorrow’s final horse inspection.

Troy Heikes was the only American competiting in the 2nd Individual Reining Qualifer in Normandy today. He & Lil Gun Dunit scored a 220. That was the best score of the competition and earned them a spot in the Individual Reining Final . Heikes qualification means that every U.S. rider and horse are qualified to compete for individual medals on Saturday.

Phillip Dutton & Trading Aces lead all U.S. Eventers so far, a nd are in 6th place overall .

Sinead Halpin & Manoir de Carneville were the second U.S. pair to enter the eveneting dressage ring. They slipped up a little and ended up with a 50.8. It certainly wasn't a disaster, and for now they are in15th place halfway through dressage.

Roxanne Trunnell & Nice Touch were the last american combination to compete today. They've scored 68.087%, so they're currently in the top 10 of Grade 1a para-dressage competitors.

Steffen Peters & Legolas 92 anchored the U.S. Dressage team solidly with the best of the U.S. Grand Prix rides. They earned a 75.843% which has the team is clinging to Bronze Medal position...and waiting.

Shawn Flarida & SPooks Gotta Whiz met some very high expectations and blew away all the competition up till now. Their 229.5 score is 5.5 better than the three combinations currently tied for second. Rebecca Hart & Schroeters Romani have finished up their Grade II Team Test for the U.S. Para-Dressage Team and scored a 67.971%. That's the best U.S. Para-Dressage score so far, and has Rebecca in 3rd overall in Grade II competition .
