The Southern Methodist and New Mexico State teams opened their seasons on Thursday at SMU’s home field, BuckBranch Farm. Four teams, three of them ranked in the top 10, met at the Willis Family Equestrian Center in Waco, Texas for the Willis invitational on Friday and Saturday.
