Adequan U.S. Reining Squad member Troy Heikes (Scottsdale, Ariz.) and Lil Gun Dunit, owned by Denise Bixler and Steve Tarani, competed in today’s Second Individual Qualifier and secured a spot in Saturday evening’s Individual Reining Final at the 2014 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games. Jeremy Olson Finishes Alone on Tough Day for U.S. Endurance Team

A slippery, muddy course didn't yeild much to U.S. endurance horses and riders today. 4 of the 5 horses that started in Sartilly were pulled at vet checks along the way, but Jeremy Olson & Wallace Hill Shade were able to complete the course. They are in 32nd place provisionally before tomorrow’s final horse inspection.

Hart & Trunell Earn Top 10 Individual Test Finishes

Three more para-dressage grades held their Individual tests in Normandy today, and U.S. riders finished in the top ten in two of them. In Grade 1a Roxanne Trunell & Nice Touch scored 69.435% to finish in 8th place. Earlier, Rebecca Hart & Schroeter's Romani scored 67.486% in Grade II to earn a 7th place finish.

Heikes Earns Spot In Individual Reining Final

Troy Heikes was the only American competiting in the 2nd Individual Reining Qualifer in Normandy today. He & Lil Gun Dunit scored a 220. That was the best score of the competition and earned them a spot in the Individual Reining Final . Heikes qualification means that every U.S. rider and horse are qualified to compete for individual medals on Saturday.

Sinead Halpin & Manoir de Carneville were the second U.S. pair to enter the eveneting dressage ring. They slipped up a little and ended up with a 50.8. It certainly wasn't a disaster, and for now they are in15th place halfway through dressage.
