Kalispell, Mont. – Talented young athletes have converged at The Event at Rebecca Farm for the Adequan FEI North American Youth Championships Presented by Gotham North (NAYC). A total of 25 CCIJ1* and 19 CICOY2* competitors from the U.S. and Canada will vie for top honors in the USEA North American Youth Eventing Championships presented by Montana Equestrian Events from July 18-22.

On Wednesday, teams and their supporters enjoyed an opening ceremony in the morning to kick off the NAYC. In the afternoon, the first horse inspection took place with all but one horse, Ern More Cash, moving forward to the competition.

Following the closing date for the nominated entries and without a Canadian team, the FEI requirement of at least two national federations represented with teams was not met in order to run an official eventing continental championship. Despite the circumstance, the competition remains tough as the young athletes have worked hard to compete for USEF team and individual medals in this prestigious event.

The NAYC for jumping and dressage will be held as a stand-alone event at Old Salem Farm (North Salem, N.Y.) from August 1-5 with rising stars competing for medals in their respective disciplines.

Check out the live stream of the NAYC on USEF Network from Thursday, July 19 through Sunday, July 22.
