US Equestrian is seeking interested athletes to serve on its Athletes’ Advisory Committee for a two-year term that will begin in January 2026.
The Athletes’ Advisory Committee is responsible for ensuring communication between the Federation and USEF 10-Year Athletes. USEF 10-Year Athletes are defined as those who have represented the United States in the past 10 years at a delegation event (such as the Olympic Games, Paralympic Games, Pan American, or Parapan Am Games) or an elite protected competition.
The Athletes’ Advisory Committee serves as a source for athlete opinion and advice to the USEF Board of Directors on current and contemplated policies that impact 10-Year Athletes, and areas of improvements for any phase of equestrian sport.
The committee is comprised of eight athletes – one from each of the FEI disciplines, and two from para equestrian. A position description and eligibility criteria for this committee can be found at https://www.usef.org/forms-pubs/6vQd1Nner-g.
Athletes interested in serving in the role of Athlete Representative on the Athlete Advisory Committee can express their interest beginning October 20. Interested athletes must submit a Letter of Interest and current bio/resume/CV to [email protected] no later than 5:00 pm ET on November 10, 2025. Athletes must be current with their SafeSport Training, background checks, and Conflict of Interest disclosures.
Voting will commence on November 17 and will close on November 21. The election results will be announced following the close of the election.
