US Equestrian Announces U.S. Young Rider Jumping Team for FEI Jumping Nations Cup Hagen CSIOY

Lexington, Ky. – US Equestrian has named the following combinations to the U.S. Young Rider Jumping Team for the FEI Jumping Nations Cup Hagen CSIOY from June 12-16 at Future Champions in Hagen, Germany. Anne Kursinski will serve as chef d’equipe for the U.S. team. In addition, this event will serve as the official test event of equestrian formats for jumping and dressage for the 2020 Olympic Games.

Samantha Cohen (New York, N.Y.) and Billy Fanta, her 11-year-old Anglo-European mare

Claire McKean (The Woodlands, Texas) and Bellico, Tammy Williams’s eight-year-old Westphalian gelding, or Isabelle, her 10-year-old Dutch Warmblood mare

Giavanna Rinaldi (St. Charles, Ill.) and Cleo van de Helle, Ashford Farming Ireland and Stephen Macken’s eight-year-old Holsteiner stallion, or Concuela, CD LLC’s nine-year-old Oldenburg mare

Competition Information

The event will follow the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games format. The first individual competition will take place on Wednesday, June 12, with the top 30 athletes moving on to the individual final competition on Thursday, June 13. The U.S. Young Rider Jumping Team, made up of three combinations with no drop score, will compete in the first team competition on Saturday, June 15. The top 10 teams will compete in the team final competition on Sunday, June 16.

In addition, members of the U.S. Dressage Young Rider European Tour will compete in Hagen, also following the discipline’s Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games format.
