US Equestrian Announces Athletes Selected to U.S. Para Dressage Team for Adequan® Global Dressage Festival 9 CPEDI3*

Lexington, Ky. – US Equestrian is pleased to announce the athlete-and-horse combinations selected to represent the U.S. Para Dressage Team at the Adequan® Global Dressage Festival 9 CPEDI3* in Wellington, Fla., from March 5-8, 2026. The team will be led by U.S. Para Dressage Chef d’Equipe and Technical Advisor, Michel Assouline alongside Team Leader, Laureen Johnson. 

The following combinations have been selected to represent the U.S. Para Dressage Team and are listed in alphabetical order: 

  • Fiona Howard (Wellington, Fla.) and Vianne, a 2016 Hanoverian mare (Vitalis x Ramiro’s Bube), owned by Kate Shoemaker   

  • Kate Shoemaker (Wellington, Fla.) and Supreme, her own 2016 Westphalian gelding (Sezuan x Deja Vu)  

  • Roxie Trunnell (Royal Palm Beach, Fla.) and Rumour Has It, a 2012 Hanoverian gelding (Romancero H x Inkka), owned by Simone van der Schalk 

  • Marie Vonderheyden (Wellington, Fla.) and Fan Tastico H, a 2017 Oldenburg gelding (Furstanball x Weltmeyer) owned by Karin Flint 
     

Competition Information:  
Competition at the Adequan® Global Dressage Festival is set to begin on Friday, March 6, at 10:00 a.m. EST with the FEI Para Grand Prix A Test, followed by the FEI Para Grand Prix Test B on Saturday, March 7, beginning at 10:00 a.m. EST. On Sunday, March 7, competition will conclude for all athlete-and-horse combinations with the FEI Para Grand Prix Freestyle starting at 10:00 a.m. EST.
