Harrisburg, Pa. - Athletes from across the country have arrived in Pennsylvania and are set to compete in the Turnham Green/USEF Junior Jumper National Championship and Dover Saddlery/USEF Hunter Seat Medal Final hosted this week at the Pennsylvania Horse Show from October 9-12, 2025.
The Turnham Green/USEF Junior Jumper National Championships gather qualified junior athletes from across the country to represent their zones in a championship format competition, crowning both team champions and an individual champion at the conclusion of the week.
Competition begins Thursday evening with Phase I of the Individual Championship, starting at 6:00 p.m. ET. The class will feature fences set at 1.35m in height and run in a faults-converted format. On Friday, athletes will contest Phase II of the Individual Championship as well as the Prix des States Team Championship. The team competition will feature a modified Nations Cup format over two rounds set to 1.40m in height. Phase II will begin at 5:45 p.m. ET.
The final day of the championship concludes with Phase III, highlighting the Individual Championship, which will crown the individual national champion for 2025. Phase III is scheduled to begin at 6:15 p.m. ET.
To conclude the week, the Dover Saddlery/USEF Hunter Seat Medal Final is set to get underway at 7:00 a.m. ET on Sunday, October 12. This prestigious equitation national championship features two rounds over a course set to 3’6” in height, and is judged based on the style, position, and effectiveness of the rider. A minimum of 25 top-scoring combinations from the first round will advance to the second round, and judges may further test a select group of riders before determining the overall champion. Since its inception in 2004, the Dover Saddlery/USEF Hunter Seat Medal Final has become one of the most prestigious titles in the equitation discipline and serves as a key steppingstone for junior athletes from across the U.S.
