Elkton, Md. - U.S. Olympic veterans Phillip Dutton, Boyd Martin, and Lauren Kieffer headline the list of over 100 entries at the

2018 The Dutta Corp. Fair Hill International, October 18-21, at the Fair Hill Natural Resource Area in Elkton, Md. The Dutta Corp. Fair Hill International Three-Day Event celebrates its 30th anniversary this year and hosts The Dutta Corp./US Equestrian (USEF) CCI3* and CCI2* Eventing National Championships, as well as the USEF Young Horse National Championship, USEF Young Rider National Championship, and the USEF Developing Rider National Championship.

Considered one of the most prestigious international three-day events in the world, The Dutta Corp. Fair Hill International's CCI3* boasts a world-class field of 46 U.S. and international combinations. Thirty-three of these entries are U.S. combinations eligible for the title of The Dutta Corp./USEF CCI3* Eventing National Champion, awarded to the highest placed U.S. combination in the CCI3* division. Among the three-star entries are Americans Martin (Cochranville, Pa.) and Kieffer (The Plains, Va.). Buck Davidson (Reddick, Fla.), Will Faudree (Southern Pines, N.C.), and Caroline Martin (Miami Beach, Fla.), will also contest the three-star national championship.

Several U.S. combinations will compete multiple horses in the CCI3*. Boyd Martin will ride Long Island T, Long Island T Syndicate’s 12-year-old Oldenburg/Thoroughbred gelding, and Ray Price, Ray Price W Syndicate’s 10-year-old Thoroughbred/Warmblood gelding. Kieffer has three mounts entered owned by Jacqueline Mars, including Vermiculus, an 11-year-old Anglo-Arabian gelding, Landmark's Monte Carlo, a 12-year-old Irish Thoroughbred cross gelding, and Paramount Importance, an 11-year-old Holsteiner gelding. Davidson will ride Archie Rocks, Maya Simmon’s 10-year-old Thoroughbred gelding, and Erroll Gobey, Cassandra Segal, Lisa Darden, and Natalie Sandler’s eight-year-old Holsteiner gelding.

Within the CCI3*, the USEF Developing Rider National Championship will be awarded to the highest placed U.S. competitor that is 18 years of age or older, who has not yet completed a CCI4* event. Those U.S. athletes eligible for this national championship title are Fylicia Barr (West Chester, Pa.), Jenny Caras (Cartersville, Ga.), Charlotte Collier (Gerrardstown, W.V.), Cornelia Dorr (Manchester-by-the-Sea, Mass.), Matthew Flynn (Reddick, Fla.), Ariel Grald (Vass, N.C.), Emily Hamel (West Grove, Pa.), Caitlin Henderson (Pinckney, Mich.), Ashley Kehoe (Purcellville, Va.), Lindsay Kelley (Middleburg, Va.), Whitney Mahloch (Plymouth, Wisc.), Autumn Schweiss (Ocala, Fla.), and Frankie Thieriot Stutes (Occidental, Calif.).

Three United States Equestrian Team (USET) Foundation Jacqueline B. Mars International Competition National Developing Rider Grant recipients will contest the CCI3* as well. Grant recipient combinations include Thieriot Stutes with Chatwin, The Chatwin Group’s 10-year-old Oldenburg gelding, as well as Sydney Conley Elliott (Bossier City, La.) and Cisko A, Carol Stephens’s 12-year-old Westphalian gelding, and Emilee Libby (Temecula, Calif.) and Jakobi, a nine-year-old Belgian Warmblood gelding she owns with Linda Libby. Additionally, the USET will award the Gladstone Trophy to the highest placed U.S. athlete and the Markham Trophy to the highest placed U.S. Developing Rider in the CCI3*.

Heading the entry list in the CCI2*, which features 65 horse-and-rider combinations, 55 of which are U.S. combinations, is Phillip Dutton (West Grove, Pa.) with Sea of Clouds, Sea of Clouds Partnership’s seven-year-old Thoroughbred gelding. He will be joined by veterans Boyd Martin with On Cue, Christine Turner’s 12-year-old Selle Francais mare, and Faudree with Jennifer Mosing and Sterling Silver Stables’s entries FRH Ramona, an eight-year-old Hanoverian mare, and Michel, an eight-year-old Hanoverian gelding.

Other notable entries in the CCI2*, and eligible for The Dutta Corp./USEF CCI2* Eventing National Championship, awarded to the highest ranked U.S. combination where the athlete is 22 years of age or older, include Nicole Aden (Midway, Ky.) with her Truckee Bash, a 12-year-old Thoroughbred gelding, and Megan Kepferle (Long Valley, N.J.) with Anakin, Rogue Won Syndicate LLC’s nine-year-old Thoroughbred gelding. Alexandra Knowles (Lexington, Ky.) will ride three entries for Katherine O’Brien, including Morswood, a 10-year-old Irish Sport Horse gelding, Business Class, an eight-year-old Selle Francais gelding, and Ms. Poppins, a seven-year-old Westphalian mare.

Within the CCI2*, the USEF Young Horse National Championship will also be awarded to the owner of the highest placed U.S. horse that is six or seven years of age. Eligible horses in 2018 include Victor Z, a seven-year-old Zangersheide gelding owned and ridden by Katherine Brown (Aiken, S.C.); Trendy Fernhill, a seven-year-old Irish Sport Horse gelding owned and ridden by Jenny Caras (Cartersville, Ga.); Sea of Clouds ridden by Dutton; Ms. Poppins ridden by Knowles; Cinzano, a seven-year-old Holsteiner gelding owned and ridden by Amber Levine (Petaluma, Calif.); and Charmking, Charmking LLC’s seven-year-old Holsteiner gelding, ridden by Holly Payne Caravella (Califon, N.J.).

Additionally, the USEF Young Rider National Championship is awarded in the CCI2* to highest placed U.S. competitor who is 16 years of age to 21 years of age during the current competition year. 2018 eligible athletes competing include Arielle Aharoni (Bedminster, N.J.), Alexandra Baugh (Lexington, Ky.), Mia Farley (San Clemente, Calif.), Mallory Hogan (Belvedere, Calif.), Ryan Keefe (Sandy Spring, Md.), Heather Morris (Fort Worth, Texas), Cassidy Snyder (Aledo, Texas), Tayler Stewart (Damascus, Md.), and Cassandra Wallskog (Mequon, Wisc.).

Competition gets underway on Thursday, October 18, with the first day of dressage beginning at 8:00 a.m. ET.
