Reigning Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Final Champion Madden Leads U.S. Jumping Contingent to Gothenburg

Gothenburg, Sweden – Top American jumpers are qualified, prepared, and ready to compete at the 2019 Longines FEI Jumping World Cup Final, April 3-7 at the Gothenburg Horse Show in the Scandanavium Arena alongside three of the U.S.’s top dressage combinations. With the reigning Longines FEI Jumping World Cup Final champion and runner-up in tow, the U.S. contingent will face some of the world’s toughest competition as 33 athletes from 18 countries seek the coveted title.

Beezie Madden (Cazenovia, N.Y.) and Breitling LS, Abigail Wexner’s 13-year-old Dutch Warmblood stallion, will look to defend their 2018 podium position. As the only U.S. athlete to win two FEI Jumping World Cup titles (2018, 2013), Madden will serve as the veteran leader of the U.S. jumping contingent. Hailing from the North American East Coast Sub-League, Madden will jump 30th in the starting order. Career Highlights: Ranked in the top 10 on the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup Standings North American Eastern Sub-League; competed in the 2005 FEI Jumping World Cup Final in Las Vegas, Nev.; member of the bronze medal-winning U.S. Jumping Team at the Toronto 2015 Pan American Games; 2002 team gold medalist and 2003 individual gold medalist in the FEI North American Youth Championships (NAYC)

Devin Ryan (Long Valley, N.J.) will ride Cooper, his 12-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding, as he competes as the defending runner-up in the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup Final.
