Lexington, Ky. – The Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI) has announced that Laura Graves and Verdades are the new world number one ranked dressage combination based on the revised FEI Dressage World Ranking list released on Monday, October 1. Graves and Verdades, members of the silver medal-winning The Dutta Corp. U.S. Dressage Team at the FEI World Equestrian Games™ (WEG) Tryon 2018, seized the top spot from Germany’s Isabel Werth and Weihegold OLD following their impressive team Grand Prix and individual silver medal Grand Prix Special performances at the WEG in September.

“I’m just beside myself, and it certainly doesn’t feel like a reality yet,” said Graves, upon receiving the news. “What this horse has allowed me to do for U.S. dressage is extraordinary. We are so excited.”

This marks the first time that a U.S. dressage combination has been ranked world number one. Graves (Geneva, Fla.) and the 16-year-old KWPN gelding she owns with Curt Maes increased their point total to 2,714 following the WEG, placing them one point ahead of Werth and Weihegold OLD.
