Under the guidance of acting Chef d’Equipe Leslie Law, the team of Katherine Coleman, Elisabeth Halliday-Sharp, and Caroline Martin will fight for a strong finish as they work to upset series leaders Great Britain, who hold a 10-point lead over Germany.

Coleman (Wiltshire, England), part of the third-place team in the FEI Nations Cup at the Houghton Hall International CICO3* with Longwood, will give Kalai, LLC’s Back to Business her first Nations Cup start. With an impressive list of finishes from the inception of their partnership, Halliday-Sharp (East Sussex, England) will debut Deniro Z in the gelding’s first Nations Cup. The promising combination has earned six cumulative first-place finishes, four of those in 2017 alone. She and The Deniro Syndicate’s nine-year-old KWPN most recently placed fifth at the SsangYong Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials Eight- and Nine-Year-Old CIC3*, preceded by first-place finishes at the Barbury International CIC2* in June and the Ocala Horse Properties International Three-Day Festival CCI2* in April.

Martin (Miami Beach, Fla.), a United States Equestrian Team (USET) Foundation Jacqueline B. Mars Developing Rider Grant Recipient, enters her and Sherrie Martin’s Pebbly Maximus. She and the 13-year-old Irish Sport Horse gelding were part of the Karen E. Stives European Developing Tour, where they placed fifth at the Bramham International CCI3*-U25 and contributed to the team’s third-place finish at the Houghton Hall International CICO3*.

Dressage gets underway beginning at 3:00 a.m. EST on Thursday, with Coleman and Back to Business scheduled to compete at 7:51 a.m. EST. Halliday-Sharp and Martin will follow with their dressage tests on Friday. The competition will be streamed live in its entirety here
