Buddy Brown and Balios Z (Captured Moment Photography)

Del Mar, CA - The 2012 Grand Prix Hunter Derby Series came to its conclusion tonight with the Grand Prix Hunter Derby Final at the Del Mar Fall Equestrian Festival.  30 horse and rider combinations were entered into the class, which featured several options, along with a stacked hay bale jump out of the Del Mar Arena and into the San Diego Arena.  The class was live-streamed on USEF Network as well.

Veteran Buddy Brown and Sue Sadlier's Balios Z topped the field for tonight's big win.  The pair put forth two flawless rounds that were truly a pleasure to witness.  Thank you to Fleeceworks and to Tammy and Jon Williams of Davlyn Farms for providing the gorgeous Bubbaloo Memorial Perpetual Trophy.
