North Salem, NY
− Olympic Silver Medalist, Peter Leone, will be on hand to personalize copies of his new book, Peter Leone's Show Jumping Clinic: Success Strategies for Equestrian Athletes on Saturday, September 15th at 1:00 p.m. at the American Gold Cup at Old Salem Farm in North Salem, NY. The event will take place at the Samshield Booth overlooking the Grand Prix Arena on the South side of the Main Barn on the Old Salem Farm show grounds.

Samshield, the helmet of choice for many of the world's top riders, will welcome Leone for the signing before the $35,000 Double H Farm Jumper Classic, which begins at 2:00 pm. Samshield has also chosen the American Gold Cup to launch their first riding gloves, the "V-Skin Vented/leather/silicone/Lycra" gloves.

"We are very excited to host a book signing for Peter Leone at this beautiful show- the American Gold Cup. Peter is a phenomenal international rider and trainer. His book has had rave reviews. Plus, we are so proud to have Peter as a Samshield sponsored rider," shared Julien Lecomte from Samshield.

The book employs diagrams, exercises and anecdotes, as well as photos featuring riders such as McLain Ward, Richard Spooner and Georgina Bloomberg, as models demonstrating concepts from his text.

The book's foreword, by United States Equestrian Team Chef d' Equipe in Show Jumping, the legendary George Morris, states simply, "I think that any rider will benefit from the knowledge, experience and insight contained here."

Renowned equitation and show jumping coach, Missy Clark, had this to say about the book, "I highly recommend this book for anyone interested in taking their riding and horsemanship to the next level."

"Presented in a thoughtful, detailed yet simple style, this book will improve your riding and horsemanship whether you are beginning your riding journey or trying to improve your current skill level," lauded McLain Ward, Two-Time Olympic Gold Medalist.

"A must read for anyone involved with riding or training horses, this book will remind seasoned riders of the basic fundamentals and teach less experienced riders the important lessons that are necessary for achieving success in this sport," praised top international rider and author, Georgina Bloomberg.

Leone's book, written along with Kimberly Jaussi PhD, an avid rider, writer and leadership professor and coach, explores every aspect of riding from the basics of correct use of aids through to the psychology of approaching a World Cup course.
