Riding in his familiar role as team anchor, Peters expertly guided Four Winds Farm’s Legolas 92 through an excellent test. The pair’s signature piaffe and passage work was on full display, earning high marks from the seven-judge panel. Posting a score of 77.234%, Peters prevented a full sweep of the top spots for Germany, placing fourth.
Francis (Loxahatchee, Fla.) and Patricia Stempel’s Doktor proved their great partnership, executing a test that was rewarded for the piaffe-passage tour and one-tempi changes. The pair earned a score of 72.200%.
Page (Wellington, Fla.) and her own Woodstock produced a consistent test highlighted by expressive pirouettes. The pair did have a costly mistake in the two-tempi changes, but recovered well to score 68.971%.
Bateson-Chandler (Wellington, Fla.) was the first down centerline for the U.S. aboard Jane Clark’s Alcazar. The pair’s test began strong with solid trot work including excellent left half-passes. With unfortunate struggles in the piaffe and collected walk, the pair was able to post a score of 66.314%.

Team competition continues with the Grand Prix Special on Saturday and can be viewed live on www.clipmyhorse.tv beginning at 9 a.m. local time. The top 18 individuals will move forward to Sunday’s Grand Prix Freestyle.
This competition is the final FEI Nations Cup™ for dressage in the series of six events that began with CDIO3* Wellington in late March. The U.S. is currently just four points behind Sweden at the top of the series leaderboard.
