– Seven nations are set to contest the Houghton International Horse Trials CICO3* taking place May 26-29 in Norfolk, England. On the third leg of the FEI Nations Cup™ Eventing series, Katherine Coleman, Tiana Coudray, and Elisabeth Halliday-Sharp will represent the Land Rover U.S. Eventing Team in an impressive field of competitors. The U.S. will be guided by Chef d’Equipe Ann Taylor.

Coleman (Wiltshire, England) will make her Nations Cup debut at Houghton with her own Longwood. The New Orleans native relocated to England in 2012 and gained experience training and competing abroad. Coleman returned to the states this year for the winter and spring seasons and scored top results with the 2002 Irish Sport Horse gelding, finishing seventh in the Cloud 11 ~ Gavilan North LLC Carolina International CIC3* and ninth in The Fork CIC3*.

Halliday-Sharp (East Sussex, England) and Deborah Halliday’s Fernhill by Night will make their third Nations Cup appearance as a combination, having last represented the U.S. at the 2014 Military Boekelo CCIO3*. Halliday-Sharp and the 2003 Irish Sport Horse gelding had solid performances during the winter and spring in the U.S. They were second in the Cloud 11 ~ Gavilan North LLC Carolina International CIC2* and rerouted to Houghton after withdrawing prior to the deluge of rain on cross-country day at the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event presented by Land Rover.

Coudray (Hungerford, England) will make her third Nations Cup appearance and partner with the promising Jatial, Inc’s Sambuca F. She began competing the 2006 Westphalian mare in FEI competitions this year, winning the Barroca d’Alva CCI2* in Portugal. The duo is in fine form for the start of competition at Houghton.

The large CICO3* division will perform dressage tests on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Show jumping will take place Saturday afternoon and cross-country will run on Sunday. For the Land Rover U.S. Eventing Team, Coleman will head down centerline on Thursday at 2:08 p.m. local time, while Halliday-Sharp and Coudray will perform their dressage tests on Friday at 9:08 a.m. and 5:01 p.m., respectively.
