Choreographed to the theme from the hit movie, “Frozen,” the sisters had a graceful performance. With the help of Wolfgang Renz’s Württemberger gelding, Leon, and lunger Renz, the pair executed eye-catching flips and precise movements. Unfortunately, each struggled with the dismount, which gave them a .560 deduction.

“Today’s competition went well. We made a few mistakes that were very silly and can be fixed for the second round. Hopefully, that will improve our score,” said Cassidy.

Kimberly added, “There are things that could have been better, but I am happy with the overall performance. I would like to clean up a few things for round two.”

Defending FEI World Cup™ Vaulting Finals pas-de-duex Silver medalists Pia Engelberty and Torben Jacobs of Germany lead the field with a score of 8.762. Erika Di Forti and Lorenzo Lupacchini of Italy are in second place on a score of 8.812.

In preparation for tomorrow’s competition, Cassidy stated, “We definitely have to stay calm and have confidence. We know we can do it.”

“We have to focus on not hesitating. We also have to be strong and stay relaxed all at once,” added Kimberly.

The pas-de-deux title will be awarded tomorrow after the second freestyle competition. It will be livestreamed on FEI TV beginning at 2:45 p.m. ET.
