U.S. Equestrian Team Foundation To Host Fifth Annual Golf Outing and a Rare Chance to Golf With An Olympian

The United States Equestrian Team (USET) Foundation will host its Fifth Annual Golf Outing, a benefit for the USET Foundation, sponsored by Paul Miller, Inc., on Monday, October 4. The Golf Outing will be held at the beautiful Hamilton Farm Golf Club located on the same property as the USET Foundation Headquarters and Olympic Training Center in Gladstone, NJ.

The Outing will provide a rare opportunity to “Golf With An Olympian” as the outing will feature three “Olympic” foursomes, each with one medal-winning Olympic athlete. Participants will have the chance to play in a foursome with either David O’Connor, winner of three Olympic medals in eventing, including the Individual Gold medal at the 2000 Sydney Games; or one of two riders from this year’s Silver medal-winning show jumping team—McLain Ward or Chris Kappler, who also won the individual Bronze medal, in addition to the Team Silver. Also included are brunch, an afternoon champagne reception, dinner and a special award ceremony.

“We are so thrilled to be able to present this rare opportunity to our supporters,” said USET Foundation President Armand Leone, Jr. “It really will be such a special treat to spend a fun day on the incredible Hamilton Farm golf course hearing first-hand what it was like at this year’s Olympic Games in Athens, just as it will be a treat to get to know Olympic riders like Chris Kappler, McLain Ward and David O’Connor.”

The format will be One-of-Four “Best Ball.” Prizes will be given for shots closest to the pin and for longest drives.

Sponsorships of a foursome with an Olympian are available for $5,000 each. Each foursome sponsor gets three player positions to play with the Olympian in that rider’s foursome. These “Olympic” foursomes are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Foursomes that do not include an Olympic rider are available for $4,000 each. Green fees, golf carts, caddies, balls, favors and all food and beverage are included. Other sponsorship opportunities, including individual hole sponsorships with dinner invitations, are also available.

Proceeds from the Golf Outing will support United States equestrian athletes through the USET Foundation. The USET Foundation supports the competition, training, coaching, travel and educational needs of America’s elite and developing International High Performance horses and athletes in partnership with the United States Equestrian Federation.
