The Competition Manager Education Course is now available online to all Active Senior Members who have completed both the background check and Safe Sport training. This can be found in USEF Education Portal on the Member Dashboard.
Effective 12/1/2018, per GR1202.1 - Competition Manager, An individual acting in this capacity is required to be a Senior Active Member of the Federation. Any individual acting as the Competition Manager of a hunter and/or jumper Open (not restricted to a breed) competition must be a Senior Active member in good standing of the United States Hunter Jumper Association, Inc. The competition manager of a Federation-licensed/USDF-recognized competition must be a current USDF Participating or Group member in good standing at the time competition recognition is granted and on the date of the competition. Anyone acting in the capacity of Competition Manager at a Federation licensed competition must complete applicable Federation education requirements or Federation approved Affiliate education requirements prior to the start date of the competition.

- Log in to your USEF Member Dashboard
- Scroll down to Member Tools and select the Education Portal
- Follow the link to sign up for the Competition Manager Education Course on the Education Sign Up Page
- Proceed through the modules
- You can return to the course at any time
You must review the materials and video before attempting the quizzes. Quizzes can be retaken as many times as needed to obtain a passing grade. There are four modules, each with a quiz at the end. Modules include:
- Accident Preparedness and Crisis Management
- Biosecurity and Isolation
- Competition Officials, Employees, and Volunteers
- Equine Welfare and Reporting Abuse
A notice on the course summary screen will let you know that you have passed the quizzes. Once you have completed the training successfully, you will be added to our list of eligible managers online.
