The Walter B. Devereux Sportsmanship Award is presented to an individual who exemplifies the highest standards of sportsmanship as outlined in the current Sportsman's Charter. This award honors a person whose actions consistently reflect integrity, respect, and fairness both in and out of the arena.

How do I submit a nomination?

The Walter B. Devereux Sportsmanship Award can only be nominated by affiliate leadership and committees. Please reach out to your affiliates or committees if you have a nomination in mind.

How do you select a winner?

The Awards Committee is presented with the list of nominees and biographical information for approval. Nominations are then passed on to the Pegasus Awards Selection Group for consideration.

What is the timeline?

Nominations are accepted in August through October 15 and will be forwarded to the Pegasus Awards Selection Committee for review.

When do we present the award?

The Walter B. Devereux Sportsmanship Award presented annually at the Pegasus Awards Dinner.
