The Pegasus Medal of Honor is awarded to individuals whose dedication, leadership, and lifelong service have shaped the landscape of equestrian sport. This prestigious honor highlights the profound impact of those who elevate our community, our athletes, and our future.

What is the criteria?

Any individual with a significant, long-term contribution to equestrian sport in the U.S., across any recognized discipline or breed.

How do I submit a nomination?

Click the nomination button below to fill out a brief form, including a bio, achievements, and letter(s) of support.

How do you select a winner?

Nominations come from US Equestrian general membership, via solicitations on the website and in e-communications. If the response is poor, the Board is also asked to submit nominations. A list of all the nominees with bios is forwarded to the Pegasus Awards Selection Group for selection at a meeting in November.

What is the timeline?

All submissions must be received by October 15, 2025. The Awards Committee will review nominations and bios to be forwarded to the Pegasus Awards Selection Group by November.

When do we present the award?

The honoree(s) will be revealed at the Pegasus Awards during the US Equestrian Annual Meeting.
