How do you select a winner?

Nominations come from US Equestrian general membership, via solicitations on the website and in e-communications. If the response to this is poor, the Board is also asked to submit nominations. The USEF Officers select the winner from the pool of nominees.

What is the timeline?

The names of non-winners from previous years may be resubmitted each year upon recommendation of the Pegasus Awards Selection Group. The Awards Committee will review nominees beginning in October to verify eligibility and move nominees to the Pegasus Medal of Honor nominee list if warranted. A list of nominees is sent to all the Pegasus Awards Selection Group so that they can select the winner in October. Nominations are accepted year round.

When do we present the award?

Presented at the US Equestrian Pegasus Awards Gala during the Annual Meeting.
