2026 FEI U25 World Championships

The 2026 U25 FEI Eventing World Championships will be hosted in Millstreet, Ireland from July 22-26, 2026. The FEI U25 Eventing World Championships are in its inaugural year and will be held annually and have been allocated to Millstreet International Horse Trials (IRL) for 2026 and Cornbury House Horse Trials (GBR) in 2027. These Championships are a new format announced by the FEI in late 2025 and will serve as an opportunity to bridge the gap between Youth and Senior Championships.

The FEI U25 Eventing World Championship will run as a CCI4*-S.

CHAMPIONSHIPS TIMETABLE:

• June 17, 2026: FEI Nominated Entry Date
• July 01, 2026: FEI Definite Entry Date
• Championship Schedule:
  • Wednesday, July 22 - 1st Horse Inspection and Opening Ceremonies
  • Thursday, July 23 - Dressage (Day 1)
  • Friday, July 24 - Dressage (Day 2)
  • Saturday, July 25 - Cross-Country
  • Sunday, July 26 – 2^nd Horse Inspection, Show Jumping, Awards

SELECTION PROCESS:

• Selection Trials will not be utilized for the Championships. Please refer to the 2026 FEI U25 World Championship Selection Procedures (pending) for a step-by-step description of the selection process for the Championship.

2026 Athlete Age Requirements:

• FEI age is defined as the age the Athlete will turn during the calendar year of the competition. The 2026 division and age ranges are: January 1, 2001, and December 31, 2010 (FEI ages 16-25).

SELECTION TIMELINE:

• Applications Open: TBA.
  • In order to be considered for the Championship, and application MUST be submitted by the stated deadline.
• Applications Close: May 1, 2026
• Team Selection: no later than June 8, 2026

MERs FOR THE FEI U25 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS:

• The Athlete and Horse must meet minimum Federation Equestre Internationale (“FEI”) requirements for the Championship per Article 520 of the current FEI Rules for Eventing.
• In addition to the requirements in Article 520, all Athletes and Horses wishing to compete on the Championship Squad (“Squad”) must achieve a minimum eligibility requirement (MER) as a combination at one (1) CCI4*-S between January 1, 2025, and FEI Nominated Entry Deadline of June 17, 2026 (“Qualifying Period”) to be eligible to compete in the Championship (see the FEI Rules for Eventing, Article 517).
