The 2026 FEI World Championships will be hosted in Aachen, Germany from August 11-23, 2026, and feature the six international disciplines of Eventing, Show Jumping, Dressage, Driving, Vaulting, and Para Dressage. The FEI World Championships are held every four years, and were formerly held with all eight international disciplines together in one location. For the Olympic discipline Eventing, this championship will serve as one of two Olympic qualifying events ahead of the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic & Paralympic Games.

• The Eventing portion of the Championships will run August 13-16, 2026.
  • August 12 - 1st Horse Inspection
  • August 13 - Dressage (Day 1)
  • August 14 - Dressage (Day 2)
  • August 15 - Cross-Country
  • August 16 - Show Jumping

SELECTION TRIALS:

Any rider wishing to use a European CCI4*-L as a Selection Trial must make the request in writing to Christina Vaughn (c[email protected]) no less than 30 days prior to the start of the competition. Notification of any additional events will be communicated to potential applicants no less than 30 days prior to the start of the competition.

MERs FOR THE FEI WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS:

Refer to Article 521 of the FEI Regulations for Equestrian Events at the FEI World Championships for the Minimum Eligibility Requirements. 

• For Championships & Games all Minimum Eligibility Requirements (MERs) must be achieved as a combination and must be clear on the obstacles of the Cross Country Test. The 1st activation of a frangible /deformable device (11 penalties) or having 1 Missed flag (15 penalties) will still allow a MER. This includes MER obtained as per NF
• Requirements: W-CH & Olympic Games 1 CCI5*-L or (1 CCI4*-L + 1 CCI4*-S)
