Program Overview

The USEF Pony Jumper Championships provide an opportunity for Junior pony athletes to compete against their peers over multiple days of Jumping competition.  A Team Championship and an Individual Championship will be offered. Fence heights will be varied according to specific height categories.

The 2026 USEF Pony Jumper National Championship will be held in Lexington, Kentucky (USA), August 4-8, 2026, in conjunction with the USEF Pony Finals.  

As we look ahead to the 2026 Championships, we are carefully reviewing the selection procedures and championship format. We anticipate the following qualifying details will be approved:

Qualifying Period: September 1, 2025, to June 15, 2026. 

Minimum Eligibility: athlete/pony combinations must have completed, without have being eliminated, retired, or withdrawn, a minimum of four total (4) jumper classes, at their respective category’s height or above, across two (2) different USEF or FEI licensed competitions within the qualifying period provided they meet the requirements outlined in Section I. (Outreach classes/competitions not to count).

Categories:

  • Small Pony: ponies not to exceed 12.2 hands, athletes USEF 12 years of age (maximum), fence heights .60-.65m, not to exceed .70m.

  • Medium Pony: ponies not to exceed 13.2 hands, athletes USEF 14 years of age (maximum), fence heights .70-.75m not to exceed .80m.

  • Large Pony: ponies not to exceed 14.2 hands, athletes USEF 16 years of age (maximum), fence heights.80-.85m not to exceed .90m.

  • 1.05m: ponies not to exceed 14.2 hands, USEF junior athletes, as determined under GR103 Fence heights not to exceed 1.15m

Application: the required athlete application is available on your athlete dashboard.

 

Classes completed during the qualifying period will count toward the minimum eligibility requirements, provided minimum memberships, and pony measurement have been met (Section I). The athlete application does not need to be completed prior to competing in qualifying classes.

USEF Pony Finals First Timer Grant In Honor Of Taylor Madison Orlowski- Nominations

In memory of Taylor Madison Orlowski, this grant is to be given to a first-time Pony Finals competitor who treats horses and other competitors with respect, practices exceptional horsemanship, and displays strong sportsmanship. This grant of $1,500 will be awarded during the “First Timer USEF Pony Finals Reception” and is generously provided in Taylor’s honor by her mom, Heather McCandless, her dad, Donnie Orlowski along with her family and friends.

USEF Pony Finals Official Hotel Discounts for 2026

U.S. Equestrian has secured discounted rates at the following hotels. Attendees are responsible for making their individual reservations. The deadline to make reservations varies with the hotel. Any reservation made after the cutoff dates is not guaranteed a room at these special rates.
