Jon Kreitz is a retired U.S. Navy Flag Officer. He and his wife have been active in equestrian activities all over the United States, living in 16 states with their horses.
Jon served in the Navy for over 37 years, including tours on 7 ships and the command of two of them. He has led a Defense Agency’s global operations in 45 nations and has previously been nominated by the President of the United States to serve as the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Manpower and Reserve Affairs.
Jon’s other non-profit experience includes service as the founding President and Chairman of the Board of Mission: POW-MIA, as the CEO and as a Senior Advisor of the National League of POW/MIA Families, as a member of the Surface Navy Association (SNA) National Executive Committee and Board of Directors, and as a Director and the Vice President of Technical Animal Rescue of Virginia.
Jon has over 50 years of horse ownership, riding, and showing, including participation in western, eventing, and the dressage disciplines. He presently resides in northern Virginia and actively rides, trains, and participates in clinics in the dressage discipline.
