CHRISTINA M (TINA) WENTZ

Christina “Tina” Wentz has been a dedicated volunteer in US Para Dressage for nearly three decades. Her involvement began in 1997 through both professional expertise as a physical therapist with extensive experience incorporating equine movement into clinical practice, and personal commitment as the mother of Paralympian Jonathan Wentz, who represented Team USA at the 2010 World Equestrian Games and the 2012 London Paralympics.

She is a founding board member of the United States Para-Equestrian Association (USPEA), serving from 2009 to 2025, and has held long-standing roles on the USEF Para Equestrian Technical Committee and the USDF Para Dressage Committee. Since 2017, she has served as a Para Dressage Selector and has been head selector since 2019. Tina has also been the Head PCA for World Championships and Paralympic Games since 2016.

Her volunteer work spans decades, including service with Equest Therapeutic Riding Center and support for high-performance U.S. Para Dressage athletes. She has contributed to the USEF IDC, the USDF Assimilation Task Force, and numerous initiatives aimed at strengthening Para Dressage nationally and internationally.

Tina’s ongoing commitment is driven by a desire to advance the sport, support athletes, and help realize the long-term vision her son Jonathan championed till the Lord called him home in 2012: elevating U.S. Para Dressage to world-class excellence and achieving success on the global stage.
