Dr. Michele Hollis, MD, FAAEM is a board-certified emergency medicine physician with over two decades of clinical experience. Combining her medical background with a lifetime passion for equestrian sports, she bridges the critical gap between emergency medicine and the equestrian community.

Dr. Hollis applies her unique medical perspective directly to athlete safety and injury prevention. She serves as the medical director for the Equestrian Health & Safety Foundation (EqHSF), where she spearheads pivotal initiatives in emergency preparedness, safety training, and concussion awareness. She also serves as chair of the United States Hunter Jumper Association (USHJA) Safety Committee, implementing practical rider safety standards and expanding access to life-saving resources.

Three years ago, she joined the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine (AMSSM) to collaborate with peers and champion better access to sports medicine resources for human athletes. Bringing this vast experience to the USEF Human and Equine Safety and Welfare Committee, Dr. Hollis is dedicated to evaluating injury data and implementing robust safety protocols to protect athletes at all levels of sport.
